Overview
CPAS (Public Centres for Social Welfare) are public bodies present in every municipality in Belgium, whose mission is to guarantee everyone the conditions for a life consistent with human dignity. Professional integration has been a legal mission of CPAS since 2002, with personalised socio-professional support for beneficiaries.
Services offered
- Financial aid (social integration income), in-kind aid (meals, clothing, transport) and medical assistance
- Support in finding training and employment through an Individualised Social Integration Project (PIIS)
- Social guidance, debt mediation and referral to relevant services
Who is it for?
Anyone residing in Belgium who is unable to live with dignity and does not have sufficient resources, whether job seekers, people in financial difficulty or people requiring social support.
