Qu'est-ce que Temporary staffing ?
Definition
Temporary staffing is a triangular relationship: the staffing agency (Randstad, Manpower, Adecco…) is the legal employer of the temporary worker, who is placed with a client company for a defined mission. The temporary work contract is concluded between the agency and the worker.
In practice
In Belgium, temporary work is strictly regulated: missions are generally capped at 6 months (with exceptions), temporary workers receive the same benefits as permanent staff and are entitled to an end-of-mission bonus. Agencies are licensed by the regional employment services (Forem, VDAB, Actiris).
Key takeaway
Temporary staffing gives companies flexibility and allows candidates to explore different work environments, often as a gateway to permanent employment.
